Doug is a founder member of The Invisible Circus, which has grown from a  loose traveling collective in the early 90’s into one of the Uk’s largest scale Circus Theatre companies.

After a decade of world travel and adventure The Circus returned to the Uk in 2000 for Glastonbury Festival. In 2002 they hosted their first Circus stage for Lost Vagueness late night area and have been returning ever since presenting shows in The Circus Big Top, Trash City and with The Arcadia Spectacular.

The same collective principles of the street have  influenced the companies later development and Carny Ville is the most large scale manifestation of this collective dreaming to date. taking over a huge inner city ex fire station the show had over 600 participating artists and has enjoyed a sell out success for four outings in its native Bristol
