Doug conceives, develops and launches independent community spaces that foster creative self expression, artistic collaboration and radical innovation.

Sustained by their own micro economies, these spaces are self supporting through teaching, performances and shared initiatives, bridging the gap between commercial imperatives and the alternative currencies of opportunity and fulfilment.

Working in unusual and underused spaces as an artist, Doug is a founding member of The ArtspaceLifespace Project, a registered charity with a growing portfolio of accessible creative projects in historical sites around Bristol.
